The Night the Daemonae Danced

The Order search the Redemption!
Chilled fingers edged their way over the sides of the Redemption, slowly hauling up a figure cloaked in dark ritual robes. Heavy boots landed upon the deck followed by the sickening sound of an ancient staff, tapping in disgust against the wet wood.

"Search the ship," croaked a voice emanating from the dark hood, "Find whatever that creature is using to influence the others." Instantly more shadows appeared upon the deck, forming into the Chosen of the Darkness. They swept through the area like an unforgiving fury, taking what they could and leaving what was blessed, unable to be touched by them.

The first figure came upon a coffin and began to sprinkle sand around it, whispering all the while. "May the Darkness blind them, may the Darkness bind them. May the Veiled Ones watched over this place as Lords." She tried to touch its lid, a test to see if she could open it and a blinding light seared her flesh. She withdrew her hand, looked over the blessed coffin, and hissed her defiance at it.

The moonlight lit the wet deck and enveloped a single figure, swaying their body to the rhythm of the oceans, calming and controlling it with such simple motions. Soon the other figures joined in and whirl of shadows, robes, staffs, and the pounding beat of the heels echoed over the waves. This night the demons danced.
The Order and friends dance upon the deck!
